Fortnite Stuck To 60fps After Graphic Driver Update

Hi, a couple of weeks ago, Fortnite asked me to upgrade the nvidia driver.

After such upgrade I never got back my previous high FPS.

Now it cannot overcame the barrier of 60 FPS, it doesn’t matter how I configure the graphis in the game: setting Epic level or minimun level and resolution doesn’t change anything in FPS: always 60fps! Before the upgrade, there was a significant difference in FPS when I changed game’s graphic configuration.

My computer is OMEN by HP – 15-dc0008nl

Microprocessor: Intel® Core™ i7-8750H (2.2 GHz base frequency, up to 4.1 GHz with Intel® Turbo Boost Technology, 9 MB cache, 6 cores)

Chipset: Intel® HM370

Memory: 16 GB DDR SDRAM (1 x 16 GB)

Video graphics: NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 1060 (6 GB GDDR5 dedicated)

Hard drive: 1 TB 7200 rpm SATA; 256 GB PCIe® NVMe™ M.2 SSD

The display is capable of 144Hz.

I updated everything, from BIOS up to the graphic driver.

Reinstalled graphic driver and Fortnite.

I set the 3D setting on the nvidia panel in a low rendering quality configuration to speed up FPS.

The PC is not in whispermode. It is in maximum performance mode.

CPU and GPU are well under the 100% of usage and the work at average temperatures.

I have no more ideas about what to look at.

It looks like the software has a barrier limiting performance at 60fps.

Any clue?

Any report I could produce or monitoring I could activate, to allow a diagnosis?

I am wondering if I am asking too much from this PC. Could have it reached the maximum expected frame rate for Fortnite after only one and a half year of life? In other words, should I plan to change it or should I hope a better analisys could gave me back the much higher FPS a I had only a couple of weeks ago?

Thank you in advance

Mauro
