Johnny Depp All The Celebrities Who Supported Pirates Of The Caribbean Star During Amber Heard Trial

The ongoing defamation lawsuit between ex-husband Johnny Depp and Amber Heard is being watched not only by the public, but by other celebrities as well.

Depp is suing Hurd for $50m (£38.2m). He alleged that Heard abused her in a 2018 Washington Post op-ed about domestic violence.

Heard is contesting for $100m (£80.9m), accusing Depp of running a “smear campaign” against her and describing her trial as a continuation of “abuse and harassment”.

During the proceedings – and the previous legal case against Depp Sun – With Hurd receiving public support from several stars, several prominent figures have voiced their opinions on the couple.

However, others have also spoken out in support of Depp, including his former partners Winona Ryder and Kate Moss, as well as actor Javier Bardem and musician Sia.

Winona Ryder

While Depp was involved in a case against a British newspaper Sun After being described in an article as “the wife killer”, his former partner and Edward Scissorhands Co-star Ryder released a statement in his defense.

“The idea that he’s an incredibly violent person is the furthest thing from Johnny I’ve known and loved,” she said.

“He was never violent towards me. He has never been violent or abusive towards anyone I have seen.”

Javier Bardem

Bardem starred alongside Depp in the 2000 film Before Night Falls and 2017 Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales,

In 2020, he lent his support to the actor in a defamation suit, wrote in documents seen by People Magazine: “I love Johnny. He has always been a true gentleman and an extremely generous and caring friend to my family and me.

“Plus, I have been gifted working with him twice and experienced his unique and hilarious sense of humor as well as his respectful attitude towards every single member of the crew.”

He continued: “I stand with Johnny because I have always seen and felt a true caring and loving person in him – an extraordinary and unique artist who has helped anyone who needs his help. I not only love Johnny but deeply respect him and I thank him for being the independent and carefree little boy he is in his art and the mature and loving man he is in the lives of others is – always when we need him.”

Bardem claimed that Depp was a “good man” who was “stuck in the lies and manipulation of venomous creatures”.

Actor Penelope Cruz, who married Bardem and co-starred with Depp Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tidesalso filed a statement in support of Depp.

He wrote that Depp treated him with “sweetness, protection and kindness” during their time there. Pirateswhen she was pregnant.

“I have seen Johnny in many situations and he is always kind to everyone around him. He is one of the most generous people I know,” she said.

French singer-songwriter Vanessa Paradis, another former partner of Depp, offered the actor written support during his 2020 UK libel case.

“I have known Johnny for over 25 years. We have been partners for 14 years and we have raised our two children together,” she wrote. “All these years I have seen Johnny as a kind, attentive, generous and non-violent person And to be known as the father.
