100 Best 120 FPS Android Games In 2022

With graphics cards and display tech advancement at an exponential rate, high-end games with super-smooth animation are no more limited only to PlayStations or Xboxes. Modern smartphones now come with AMOLED displays with higher and higher refresh rates making the gaming experience amazing. We can now play 120 FPS (frames per second) on compatible Android devices. If you own a phone with a 120 FPS Hz refresh rate, I have shortlisted around 100+ of the best 120Hz or 120 FPS Android games that you should try in 2022.

Personally, I am not into smartphone gaming very much but I do play them occasionally during commutes. My Galaxy S21 Ultra has a display with a 120 FPS refresh rate and playing games on it is a treat to the eyes and mind both. Since my interest is now growing, I have been trying 120Hz Android games for a while to find the best ones. Most high-end smartphones have either 90Hz or 120Hz screens, and if you own such a phone, there are a whole lot of choices for you to enjoy amazing gameplay.

1. Alto’s Adventure
Alto’s Adventure is a truly engaging game that supports 90 and 120 FPS refresh rates. Its graphics are very amazing and a feast to the eyes. While Alto’s Odyssey is replete with beautiful landscapes, Alto’s Adventure will swoon you with its skyscapes. They are so beautifully irresistible that sometimes I take a screenshot of some skyscape to use as wallpaper on my tablet or laptop.

The game is almost flawless and offers 180 goals. Basically, it’s a snowboarding game with endless adventures that takes you to a relay of places that include Alpine hills, villages, woodlands, the ruins of abandoned buildings, and so on. As you surf through various levels, you can enjoy melodious background music.

2. Shadow Fight 2
Shadow Fight 2 is an exciting fighting game that supports high refresh rate smartphone screens. The game is a pleasant remix of classical fighting and RPG. It’s one of the best fighting games that I have ever played mainly because of easy game controls on a mobile phone screen. The visuals and realistic animation of the game are awesome and the gameplay is impressive.

While this is a great 120 FPS Android game, it’s not without its drawbacks. The game needs minor tweaks from the developers for a near perfection experience. The random advertisements that appear in the game after every match might spoil the fun. Shadow Fight 2 comes from the house of Nekki who has released several Shadow Fight games that you should also try.

3. Eternium
If you are a fan of fast-paced action RPG games, you would love Eternium. for its ease of controls and offline gameplay support. Since the game imposes purchases on players, you can keep playing the game for free. You don’t even need to pay to get the gems and stamina as you can collect them by defeating enemies and completing tasks. To make your gameplay easier, however, you can purchase things optionally as well. The ads in Eternium are non-intrusive as they pop up very far and few between.

Once you download the in-game resources, you can play Eternium offline as well. You can play this game in different roles such as a warrior, bounty hunter, or mage, and use a range of weapons to combat your enemies or complete quests. Try this 120 FPSAndroid game and you would enjoy it for sure.

4. BombSquad
BombSquad is a wonderful fun game or rather a series of interesting multiplayer mini-games. Despite the fact that this game has great graphics, its gameplay is very smooth and doesn’t lag at all. BombSquad can be played on even low-end smartphones but it performs amazingly on 90Hz and 120Hz screens.

Everything inside the game looks like it’s made of clay and that adds to its novelty in a pleasant way. The game supports a range of controllers and you can even use your smartphone or tablet as a controller using the BombSquad Remote app. The only thing the game lacks is the scarcity of more levels. Also, some of the levels feel repetitive.

5. Modern Combat 5: mobile FPS
Modern Combat 5 is a great combat game that supports smartphones with 90 and 120Hz displays. It’s one of the first high FPS games for Android. The game falls in the category of the likes of Call of Duty but the latter is much superior in several areas. Nonetheless, Modern Combat 5 still offers stunning graphics, a great storyline, and an amazing gameplay experience.

Gameloft is known for its high-quality games and this one doesn’t disappoint either. The only thing that spoils the joy is the aggressive advertisement that pops up too often and when they do, they disconnect the game from the server for a while. The game offers 10 combat modes including Assault, Hunter, Bounty Hunter, Sniper, Morph, etc., and lets you choose from a host of top-notch modern weapons but you will have to buy them as buying them using the diamonds that you earn won’t help you get them.

6. Fractal Space
Fractal Space is a 3D puzzle and adventure game that deserves a place in this list of the best 120 FPS games for Android devices. The game offers unique gameplay with its impressive dialogs, messages, relaxing soundtrack, and immersive graphics. We have already compiled a list of some of the best relaxing games for Android that you should check out as well.

Personally, I absolutely love this game for its good storyline that keeps you addicted as you solve the puzzles. Also, as in most games, the ads here are negligibly intrusive. The sad thing is that the game has only 5 chapters. I do want to continue playing Fractal Space for longer and hope that the developers would add more chapters in the days to come. You can also play this game offline. Since it gives a first-person experience, you also personalize it with 15 color themes to suit your liking.

7. Standoff 2
Standoff 2 is comparatively a new game as it’s still in a beta-testing stage. However, considering its potential, I can say that it is one of the best FPS shooting games available at the Google Play Store as of now. Standoff 2 reminds me of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive which used to be very popular among PC gamers. The only thing I missed in this first-person shooter game is the lack of voice chat.

There is no doubt that Standoff 2 is fun to play but it has a few drawbacks that require finishing touches. For instance, the developers must fix the movement speed caused probably by the laggy server. Since this 120 FPS Android game is still in the initial stage of development, I believe that such minor issues will be fixed as it gets more updates.

8. Call of Duty®: Mobile
Call of Duty: Mobile has an option called ‘Ultra FPS’ that can be enabled via the game settings. If your Android smartphone has a 120Hz screen, you can enjoy Call of Duty: Mobile as a 90 or 120 FPS game. I played this game a lot when it was in the beta stage. It’s an online 5v5 team Battle Royale game that has different game modes and offers several resources like multiplayer maps and weapons that enrich the gaming experience.

While you can buy resources via in-app purchases, Call of Duty: Mobile also lets you unlock and earn things like renowned characters, outfits, gears, weapons, etc. You have real players from all over the world to compete with and high-quality graphics provide a realistic experience.

9. Pixel Strike 3D – FPS Gun Game
Pixel Strike 3D is another engaging game to try if you are looking for a high FPS game. It is an FPS game in 2 ways- a first-person shooter and a 120 FPS Android game. Though it’s a shooting game, I find this online multiplayer game very interesting as it has a fresh feel. Pixel Strike 3D is smaller in size than any other game listed on this page and it takes very little time to load and update.

The game has appealing graphics and the controls are very user-friendly. While Pixel Strike 3D is a fun-to-play game, its ads might irritate you at times. Another negative thing about this game is that you can’t earn credits very easily as it’s limited only to 2 free credits. To enjoy this game to its full potential, you must spend some bucks.

10. Oddmar
Oddmar is another great 120Hz game for Android that you should be playing. Set in the age of Vikings, the game has a protagonist named Oddmar who is a careless Viking and has to prove his potential by fighting enemies, solving puzzles, and making his way through breath-taking landscapes like forests, mountains, mines, etc.

The graphics, narration, and storyline of the game add to its amazing gameplay. Some of the 24 levels of Oddmar are pretty challenging. If you are looking for a great adventure game that is fun to play and doesn’t keep you irritating with ads or keeps forcing you to spend money to unlock the full potential, you must try it.

Well, when I started this article, my target was to include at least FPS Android games with my short reviews for each of them. However, the fear of making this post tiresomely lengthy, I would simply mention only the names of 120Hz games for Android below.

Now that our list of 120 FPS Android games has crossed the whopping number of 100, it’s time to wind up this article. In case you think I missed any 120Hz game available for Android, please let us know via the comments section below.
