How to apply
For detailed information on the Active Transportation Fund, including applicant and project eligibility requirements and instructions about how to apply for funding, please read the Applicant Guide.

Determine Eligibility
Applicants should first ensure they are an Eligible Recipient and that the project is an Eligible Project, as described in theApplicant Guide.

The list of Eligible Expenditures and the Maximum Program Contributions should also be reviewed in order to determine the requested amount of funding.

Apply through the Applicant Portal
Between January 27, 2022 and March 31, 2022, applications will be accepted through the Applicant Portal. Applications for eligible Indigenous recipients will be accepted on an ongoing basis. Applicants can consult the Step-by-Step Guides for capital and planning projects for clear, simple instructions for submitting an application.
