PUBG Running On Constant 60 Fps

PUBG running on constant 60 fps – why?

Hi!
I’ve got a new system:
i5 8600K
GTX GB RAM

and a new Monitor: Dell S2417DG (1440p, 165Hz and G-Sync)

the problem is, for some reason I seem to be locked at 60Hz constantly, which isn’t a totally bad thing, but I already got framerates of 120 and more. I didn’t change anything in the settings (everything Ultra btw) and I don’t think it has something to do with the second monitor (1080p and 60Hz), cause it makes no difference if I have turned it on or not. And it just seems to be like that in PUBG, in CS:GO for example, I still get up 300 fps.
Any ideas anyone?

vsync. only vsync capps ur game to ur monitor refresh rate

still doesnt stop the fact having vsync on in game caps your fps to 60Last edited by RxL; 6 Jan, 2018 @ 5:33amIs vsync on?

Are you using display port cable for your monitor? Also set the refresh rate on the nvidia control panel?

Did you updated Windows 10 to the Fall Creators Update? If yes, that might be the problem

go into the nvidia control panel and click change resolution and then change the desktop refresh rate to what you want. games like pubg and csgo will run at whatever you set the desktop refresh rate to.

Thanks!! That was the problem, don’t know how it got changed, but everythings back to normal again.
And thanks to all of you for your replies!!
Jush16 Jan, 2018 @ 1:37pmdon’t play with borderless fullscreen, it adds vsync automatically on windows 10.

Vsync caps to whatever your monitors refresh rate is and as OP already stated he has a 165hz screen. It’s not Vsync.
Did you set your monitor to go over 60hz?

Yes it does. VSync, or Vertical Sync, uses your CPU to sync up the frame output of your GPU with the refresh rate of your monitor. That means if your GPU is faster than 60fps, your CPU will make your GPU wait until the next frame is displayed on your monitor before drawing a new frame. This keeps your GPU from drawing frames in the middle of a monitor refresh, which causes screen tearing.

If his refresh rate is 165Hz, VSync would not limit to 60fps.
