OnePlus Announces Support For PUBG At 90 FPS On Select Phones All You Need To Know

By India Today Tech: Tech giant OnePlus has announced a partnership with a popular name in the world of gaming, PUBG Mobile. As a result of the partnership, OnePLus will bring the “world’s first 90 FPS gaming experience to the popular tactical tournament game on OnePlus devices.” The company has announced that OnePlus 8 series, OnePlus 7T series or OnePlus 7 Pro smartphone users will now have an exclusive access to PUBG Mobile at 90 FPS. However, this will only be for a month, August 6 to September 6. Further, this will be exclusively available to OnePlus users worldwide, excluding Mainland China, Japan, and Korea.

“OnePlus is very close with our community of tech enthusiasts, so we know that mobile gamers are looking for a more immersive and smoother experience. That’s exactly what we are delivering with this exclusive 90 FPS experience with PUBG MOBILE, one of the world’s most downloaded mobile games,” said Pete Lau, Founder and CEO of OnePlus. “We will continue pushing mobile gaming to new levels through our industry-leading displays, powerful performance, and fast and smooth overall user experience.”

The company claims that with the partnership in place, OnePlus users will be the first in the world to experience 90 FPS gameplay on PUBG Mobile. “The 90 FPS advantage is especially evident while panning, using a scope, running, and searching for other players at a distance. PUBG MOBILE players everywhere can now enjoy the game at a level of gameplay speed and smoothness only available from OnePlus devices during the exclusivity period from August 6 to September 6.”

OePlus further says that for this it will be combining the latest technology and software, including 120 Hz refresh rates, Snapdragon 865 CPU, Adreno 650 GPU, and Fnatic Mode on OxygenOS, OnePlus devices to deliver the game at a high refresh rate. In addition, with Warp Charge technology, OnePlus users can charge their devices at full speed without overheating even while gaming.

While the game will be available on these three series of devices, the experience we believe could be the best on the OnePlus 8 series, especially the OnePlus 8 Pro. To remind our readers, the phone is available in two memory and storage variants, with the entry-level 8GB+128GB one sold in Onyx Black and Glacial Green colours across online and offline channels at a price of Rs 54,999. The higher-end variant with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage has been priced at Rs 59,999. The variant has been announced to be available in Onyx Black, Glacial Green, and Ultramarine Blue via all online and offline channels.

For the price, the phone gets some really impressive specs, including Qualcomm’s most powerful chipset to date, the Snapdragon 865 SoC which the company has paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage depending on your model and variant of choice. The phone is also 5G ready and support the same in all regions where the device can find a relevant network to latch on to.
